Ep. 10: Miso Honey Banana Bread

Boys and girls and everyone in between, this episode was quite a journey. We will apologize right off the bat for some pretty extreme audio issues we had with this one. We are still learning, and more than a couple of things went wrong this time, but we decided to persevere and release the episode anyway. Just be forewarned that it is a little glitchy. We will do everything we can to keep getting better so your ears don’t take a beating when you entrust them to us—promise!

This week’s recipe was a little plain Jane, so we spent a lot of the episode on side stories. including a fast food restaurant that made Liz’s new small town go viral and a philosophical discussion about aging while still being young at heart (and in your head). There was also some chat about eating dandelions, including this recipe for dandelion quesadillas.

Eventually, we did get to the point, and Steph disclosed how this week’s recipe for honey miso banana bread got the better of her, somehow. Liz had an easier go of it, but was a little disappointed overall. A good recipe, but it under-delivered in the miso department, even with the help of a little cheating.
